Reminders

A personal reminder command that understands everyday language. Members run /remind with a time and a message, and phrasings like in 2 hours, tomorrow 8pm, or next monday are all understood; the bot confirms the reminder and then delivers it by direct message at exactly the right moment. The command is fully self-contained with no setup required, so it is ready to use as soon as the module is imported. A short per-user cooldown keeps accidental double-submissions from piling up.

About

Reminders lets members set a nudge for themselves in plain language, no date math required. Running /remind takes a time and a message: phrasings like in 2 hours, tomorrow 8pm, next monday, or a precise 2026-06-01 09:00 are all understood. The bot immediately confirms with a live relative timestamp so the member can see exactly when it will fire, then delivers the reminder by direct message at the right moment. If the time cannot be understood, the member gets a friendly hint with examples instead of a silent failure.

The module is completely self-contained: there is nothing to configure and it works as soon as it is imported. A short per-user cooldown keeps accidental double submissions from piling up.

FAQ

What time formats are understood?

Relative phrases (in 2 hours, in 30 minutes), day references (tomorrow 8pm, next monday), and exact dates (2026-06-01 09:00). If a phrase is not recognized, the member gets examples to try.

How is the reminder delivered?

By direct message to the member who set it, at the scheduled time. A member with closed DMs will not receive it, so encourage open DMs for reminders to arrive.

Does it need any configuration?

No. The command is ready the moment the module is imported.
